1. How can I get a card?

In order to open a card account and receive an international payment card, you have to visit the Head Office of JSB Kyivska Rus or the nearest operational office. You should have a passport, taxpayer identification number and cash for payment of bank services.

 

2. Where can I use a card?

You can use a card in trade and service organizations, in ATMs or the Bank’s offices both in Ukraine and abroad. Remember, you can use Maestro or UkrCard international payment cards only in places, equipped with terminals that have Maestro or UkrCard emblems. In order to receive cash by means of ATMs, you should know your PIN.

 

3. How can I use a payment card overseas?

As long as a payment card is not cash means, employees of customs have no right to demand of you to declare money, being on your card account.

 

4. How can I use a card?

You can pay by means of your card for any goods and services in shops, supermarkets or restaurants, everywhere where you can see a logotype of MasterCard international payment system both in Ukraine and abroad. Despite your card account is opened in UAN, you may easily pay for goods and services in all countries of the world. Currency conversion is carried out according to the exchange rate of MasterCard international payment system and the issuing bank JSB Kyivska Rus.

 

5. How can I pay for goods and services by means of a payment card or withdraw money from my current account in the Bank or by means of ATM?

If you pay for goods and services by means of a payment card, the first thing you should do is to give it to a cashier. When you pay for goods and services via Maestro or UkrCard you should enter a PIN. The cashier gives you a cheque or a slip and checks a payment limit of your card, that is, makes authorization. Then you should check whether the amount indicated on the cheque or a slip is correct and sign it. If you withdraw money form your current account in the Bank’s office, you should have a passport. You may be asked to enter a PIN. Remember, after the cashier has authorized your card, the amount of purchase is written off. If you refused to buy a product, the amount of purchase is not written off. In case the cashier did not cancel the authorization, the amount of purchase will be blocked and you can not use it during 30 days.

 

6. How can I withdraw money form my current account by means of ATM?

You should enter a PIN. Remember, if you enter the wrong PIN three times running, you card is blocked. In this case you have to call JSB Kyivska Rus by phone: +38 044 467 74 66.

 

7. What is SMS- and M-Banking?

Mobile banking allows you to get information on the flow of funds on your card account via SMS. Moreover, after every carried out transaction with your card, you get a message that informs you on the recent transactions that additionally allows you to control the state of your account and protect your card against swindlers.

M-Banking gives you an opportunity to manage your card account or card status via mobile phone and get messages on the account balance.

By means of M-Banking You can block and unblock your card, request information on the account balance, order the stop-list, or request the information on the recent five carried out transactions.

You can activate M-Banking via ATMs of the JSB Kyivska Rus, having chosen the "Additional Services" Option.

  

8. Recommendations and safety measures:

  • it is better your card do not touch objects with magnetic field (audio/video equipment), since it can lead to damage of a magnetic tape in your card;
  • if there is a discrepancy between transactions, indicated in the account statement and real expenses, inform the Bank of the fact during 10 days but not later;
  • check whether a slip is filled up in the right way. Never sign a slip in case the amount of purchase is not indicated. The slip should be torn in your presence if it is incorrect;
  • fee for card servicing is to be paid in accordance with the Bank’s tariffs;
  • if you use ATM to withdraw money:
    • enter a PIN in such a way no one could see it;
    • having received money, do not forget to get a cheque and your card back;
  • if you have lost a card, immediately inform the JSB Kyivska Rus of card loss or its theft:
    • by phone: +38 044 467-74-66
    • or call the UkrCard Processing Centre by phone: +38 044 494-25-91 (twenty-four-hour)
  • the card is automatically reissued by the Bank after its expiration. The card account is considered to be closed after its expiration or when you return a card to the Bank.

 

Before going abroad:

  • check validity of your card;
  • make sure that you remember a PIN;
  • check the account balance;
  • in case of need, replenish your card account.

 

9. What should I do if I have forgotten a PIN?

No one except you knows the PIN. That is why, if you have forgotten the PIN, apply at the subdivision of the JSB Kyivska Rus to get a new card. There is no necessity to block it.

 

10. What should I do if the ATM/ the Bank’s cashier has not returned me a card?

Inform the JSB Kyivska Rus that the ATM/ the Bank’s cashier has not returned you a card. Make sure, that a filled up slip is torn and the card is cut in two. More detailed information on usage of payment cards you may get by calling: (0-44) 467-74-66
